I've been a customer at D&D for several years, and have always been happy with the service their mechanic had given me. But after spending $370 + labor on a starter that was billed as "new" but when I removed it it was clearly a remanufactured (and looked like a back alley chop shop special), having received their word that I was spending more because it was a higher grade starter, and then having it fail after roughly 4 months of use (looking literally like a bomb had gone off inside it, with shredded pieces of copper, melted plastic, long fibers wrapped around everything and half a cup of black dust)? And then having the folks at D&D shrug their shoulders that it was outside the reman company's 90 day "taillight warranty"? I looked online.
Very good customer service. Seem like a very professional company
And what did I find? LOTS of BRAND NEW starters for $150 and under. I spent $100 and now have a perfectly functioning starter.
There are too many eqpt dealers and too many mechanics for me to continue to bring my eqpt in for repairs here. I'm sorry guys, you leave me no choice but leave this review. You charged me a fortune for a starter that died in months and then turned your back on me.
